Where does our cypress come from?

Our Blue Cypress Oil (Callitris columellaris) is sourced from Australian Callitris columellaris heartwood and bark, known for its unique blue color and traditional use. 

Our Mediterranean Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens) comes from Greece. This cypress is common in the Mediterranean regions where this evergreen thrives and is traditionally grown for aromatic and skincare uses. 

Our Japanese Cypress (Chamaecyparis obtusa) is from Japan and is extracted in-house by our formulating team using organic alcohol. By controlling the extraction process in-house, they ensure the purest, most effective form with no added or hidden ingredients, so every drop delivers consistent, targeted skin benefits.

The cosmetic chemist who heads up our formulating team has been in this industry since 1998 so she has many long standing relationships with trusted suppliers. We source ingredients from trusted, transparent suppliers who meet our high standards for purity, traceability, and sustainability. Each ingredient is evaluated for potency, authenticity, and consistency — from raw botanicals to oils and extracts — so every formula performs as intended and meets both regulatory and ethical standards.

How do you balance natural ingredients with efficacy and safety?

We carefully combine botanical actives with proven cosmetic chemistry, ensuring that natural ingredients deliver measurable results without compromising skin safety. This involves choosing the right concentrations, pairing actives synergistically, and formulating for stability, absorption, and skin compatibility.

Where is the tallow sourced from?

The tallow is sourced from Organic Grass-Fed, Grass-Finished Beef Tallow, crafted from pasture-raised, non-GMO cattle. It is certified organic, free from pesticides, hormones, vaccines, and antibiotics, and minimally processed to preserve the natural fatty acids that support the skin barrier.

What ingredients do you intentionally avoid and why?

We avoid parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, phthalates, and other potentially irritating or harmful ingredients, focusing instead on safe, effective, and transparent formulations. Our goal is to create products that are not only high-performing but also trustworthy and gentle on skin.
